WANA (Dec 03) – Newly released trade data show that more than two tons of toys were imported into Iran during the first seven months of the current Iranian year(March to October 2025), with China accounting for roughly 90 percent of the market.

According to figures published by Iran’s Customs Administration, 2,140 tons of toys valued at $7.115 million entered the country during this period.

Iran’s toy imports came primarily from China, Hong Kong, Turkey, and the United Arab Emirates.

China remained the leading source, exporting 1,937 tons of toys worth $6.282 million to Iran in the first seven months of the Iranian year.

From the UAE, Iran imported 190 tons of toys valued at $779,536 from March to late October.

Hong Kong exported 10 tons of toys to Iran, worth $45,000.

Turkey was another supplier, though on a much smaller scale, exporting toys valued at $7,473 to the Iranian market.

Iran’s doll market, now slightly past the peak trend of the popular “Labubu” dolls, appears to be undergoing a shift. The strong consumer interest in these Chinese products has encouraged importers to seek out and bring in more similar items.
