WANA (May 24) – Claims published by The New York Times suggesting that Israel would be exempt from the obligations of a potential agreement between Iran and the United States have been denied by informed sources.

According to domestic media reports, the newspaper alleged that the U.S. administration under President Donald Trump had excluded Israel from the commitments outlined in the proposed agreement with Iran. However, sources familiar with the finalized draft say the claim is not supported by the text of the understanding.

Under the reported terms of the potential agreement, the United States and its allies would commit not to carry out any attacks against Iran or its allies under any circumstances. In return, Iran would pledge that neither it nor its allied forces would launch any preemptive military action against the United States or its allies.

Based on these provisions, informed sources stressed that claims regarding Israel being exempt from the agreement’s commitments directly contradict the explicit language of the draft and are inaccurate.
