Cruise Missile Reportedly Shot Down Near Khorramabad
WANA (Jul 12) – Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) in Lorestan province announced that an advanced air defense system intercepted and destroyed a cruise missile near the western city of Khorramabad on Saturday.
According to a statement issued by the public relations office of the IRGC’s Hazrat Abolfazl Division in Lorestan, the incident occurred on the morning of July 12, when an advanced Aerospace Force air defense system operating under Iran’s integrated national air defense network reportedly intercepted a cruise missile in the Dareh Nasb area on the outskirts of Khorramabad.
The statement described the incident as taking place during what it called a U.S. military attack, adding that the missile was successfully brought down before reaching its target. No further details regarding casualties, damage, or the type of missile were provided
