WANA (Aug 03) – Iran’s Minister of Defense and Armed Forces Logistics announced an agreement to expand defense relations with Pakistan, particularly in the areas of border security and broader defense cooperation.

 

Amir Azizi Nasirzadeh, during the visit of Pezeshkian, the Iranian President and accompanying delegation to Pakistan, and following his meeting with Pakistan’s Minister of Defense, stated:

 

“Iran and Pakistan share a strong will and favorable positions at the international level to support and assist each other.”

 

He added: “There is a strong foundation—culturally, historically, and due to our shared religious and cultural values, as well as the common threats facing both countries—for us to further develop our relations.”

 

The Iranian Defense Minister emphasized: “I held talks with Pakistan’s Minister of Defense regarding the expansion of bilateral relations, and God willing, positive developments will occur in the area of border security and various defense fields between Iran and Pakistan.”
