WANA (Mar 07) – The head of Iran’s judiciary and member of the country’s temporary leadership council, Gholam-Hossein Mohseni-Ejei, said that attacks on American targets will continue.

He stated that current evidence from Iran’s armed forces indicates that the territory of some countries in the region is openly and covertly being used by the enemy, and that attacks against Iran are being carried out from those locations.

He added that intense strikes against these targets will continue, noting that this strategy is already being implemented and that the government and other pillars of the political system are in full agreement on it.

In an interview earlier, Ejei emphasized that the Islamic Republic of Iran has historically maintained good neighborly relations and respect toward neighboring countries and has often assisted them during crises and disasters. However, he said it is a clear and constant principle that Iran will not strike anyone who has not attacked it.

At the same time, he stated that under international law, the right of self-defense for a country under attack is recognized and legitimate.

The judiciary chief reiterated that current evidence from Iran’s armed forces shows that the territory of some regional countries is being used—both openly and covertly—by hostile forces to carry out attacks against Iran, and he stressed again that strong attacks on those targets will continue as part of the current strategy, with consensus across the government and other state institutions.
