Eleventh Night of U.S. Strikes on Iran
WANA (Jul 22) – U.S. forces launched the eleventh wave of air and missile strikes against Iran early Wednesday, targeting multiple locations across the country’s west, south, southwest, and northwest, according to provincial officials. Air defense systems were also reported to be active in Tehran and several other areas during the attacks.
According to official statements, the first reports of the strikes emerged at around 2:40 a.m. The East Azerbaijan Provincial Crisis Management Office said a military site near the city of Tabriz had been struck in an air attack. Officials stated that the explosions heard in the area were linked to the strike and stressed that no locations inside the city of Tabriz had been targeted. Local reports later indicated that several additional explosions occurred west of the city.
In Bushehr Province, several powerful explosions were heard at approximately 2:45 a.m. Initial assessments indicated that two locations on the outskirts of Bushehr had been targeted in airstrikes. The governor of Bushehr said there had been no reports of damage to urban infrastructure so far, adding that security, military, and emergency response teams were assessing the affected sites.
In Khuzestan Province, provincial authorities reported missile strikes on areas near Behbahan and Omidiyeh. Residents of Bandar Mahshahr also reported hearing multiple explosions. Local reports indicated that Behbahan was struck twice during the latest wave of attacks, although no details on possible damage have been released.
Authorities in Sistan and Baluchestan Province also confirmed attacks in the Chabahar and Konarak areas. The provincial government said the situation had been brought under control following the strikes. Local journalists reported not only explosions but also the presence of fighter jets flying over Chabahar and Konarak.
In Kurdistan Province, the governor of Baneh said a location in the county had been targeted in a U.S. airstrike. He added that no casualties or fatalities had been reported. Separately, reports emerged of a missile strike on a location in Kangavar County in neighboring Kermanshah Province.
In Ilam Province, missile strikes were confirmed on the Dinarkuh Heights in Abdanan County and on an area in the Anarg Heights of Chavar County. The governor of Abdanan also confirmed the strike on the Dinarkuh area.
Later in the attacks, the deputy governor for political, security, and social affairs of Hamadan Province reported an airstrike on locations in Kabudarahang County, saying the attack had taken place shortly beforehand.
As strikes continued across multiple provinces, local sources reported the activation of air defense systems in eastern, western, and northeastern Tehran. Several explosions were also reported near Sirik in eastern Hormozgan Province.
Meanwhile, the U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) announced the start of the eleventh phase of its military operation against Iran in an official statement.
