WANA (Aug 17) – Security authorities in Iraqi Kurdistan announced on Monday that two kamikaze drones targeted the official residence and office of the region’s Prime Minister, Masrour Barzani, in Erbil.

 

According to a statement issued by Iraqi Kurdistan’s Counter-Terrorism Group, the incident involved two “Hadid-110” drones launched from Iran. The agency stated that the attacks caused no casualties.

 

The official release further claimed that the residence of the head of the Kurdistan Region Security Agency (Parastin) in the Pirmam area was also targeted during the operation.

 

In a personal statement, Masrour Barzani condemned the alleged drone strike on his office, warning that such actions threaten regional stability and security.

 

No official Iranian sources have confirmed the incident or the allegations.
