WANA (Jul 05) – The public farewell ceremony for the body of Iran’s late Supreme Leader has entered its final hours at Tehran’s Imam Khomeini Mosalla, where large crowds from across the country continue to gather to pay their final respects.

 

According to the organizing committee, the ceremony—which had already been extended once due to the overwhelming public turnout—will conclude at 10:00 p.m. local time on Sunday.

 

Over the past 48 hours, the Mosalla has repeatedly reached full capacity as thousands of mourners continued arriving throughout the day. Despite the approaching end of the ceremony, the flow of visitors has remained uninterrupted.

 

Organizers said the event must conclude on schedule to allow preparations for Monday’s funeral procession. They have therefore urged the public to refrain from traveling to the Mosalla after the ceremony ends and to cooperate with officials to ensure an orderly departure of the crowds.
