WANA (Jun 16) – The first Iranian vessels have successfully passed through the area previously affected by the U.S. naval blockade, following Washington’s decision to lift the restrictions, according to information received by local media.

 

Reports indicate that several Iranian ships crossed the former blockade line without incident and continued their journeys as normal.

 

The development comes after U.S. President Donald Trump announced the cancellation of the naval blockade on Tuesday following Iran’s acceptance of the conditions for a ceasefire agreement, paving the way for the resumption of regular maritime traffic.

 

Maritime tracking data shows that an Iranian Very Large Crude Carrier (VLCC), traveling from international waters toward Iranian ports, has already passed through the former blockade zone and is continuing its route. In addition, a cargo vessel carrying livestock feed has also crossed the area and is heading toward Iran.

 

Meanwhile, an Iranian oil tanker loaded with crude oil has passed through the Gulf of Oman and the former blockade line and is now proceeding toward its export destination.
