WANA (Jun 15) – A Malta-flagged tanker has become the first recorded vessel to pass through the Strait of Hormuz following the announcement of a peace agreement between the United States and the Islamic Republic of Iran.

 

According to maritime tracking data, the LNG carrier Disha was the first registered ship to transit the strategic waterway after the agreement was announced.

 

The vessel, measuring approximately 290 meters in length and 46 meters in width, was observed traveling at around 10 knots through Iran’s designated traffic separation route in the Strait of Hormuz.

 

The ship’s declared destination is Jacksonville, with an estimated arrival date of June 30, according to the tracking information.
