WANA (Jul 18) – Four unauthorized vessels attempting to pass through the Strait of Hormuz were stopped following a combined missile and drone operation by Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Navy.

The IRGC Navy Command stated that the four vessels had attempted to transit the Strait of Hormuz with the support of the U.S. military. The statement said that, during a combined operation, all four ships were halted in their positions.

The IRGC Navy emphasized its readiness to safeguard maritime security in the region and urged vessel owners to comply with its warnings and official notices, rather than relying on what it described as “unfounded foreign support.”

Further details regarding the identity of the vessels, the condition of those on board, and the next steps will be announced later.
