WANA (Jul 06) – The third day of farewell and funeral ceremonies for Iran’s late leader concluded in Tehran on Monday without any fatalities or major security incidents, following a mass turnout of mourners from across the country.

 

The funeral procession for the late leader and members of his family drew millions of participants to the capital. Authorities said the ceremonies ended peacefully.

 

Throughout the three days of farewell and funeral events, emergency responders, the Iranian Red Crescent Society, police, and other security and rescue agencies remained on duty with full equipment and resources. Around 1,000 personnel were kept on standby and continued providing emergency assistance and maintaining security until the end of the ceremonies.

 

Eyewitness observations indicated that the funeral procession was held in a calm and orderly manner, with no reported security incidents. Police were deployed along the entire procession route, and officials said no security-related disruptions affected the event.

 

Mojtaba Lashgari, spokesperson for Iran’s Emergency Organization, said the funeral ceremony in Tehran concluded without any fatalities. He added that more than 34,000 participants received emergency medical services during the event.

 

Mojtaba Khaledi, spokesperson for the Iranian Red Crescent Society, also said that despite the attendance of millions of mourners, no accidents or unexpected incidents were reported, and the ceremony concluded without problems due to the coordinated efforts of emergency personnel.

 

Jalal Maleki, spokesperson for the Tehran Fire Department, said firefighters were fully deployed along the funeral route. He stated that no fire or other emergency incidents were reported during the ceremony and that firefighters were stationed at 210 locations, where they also helped cool mourners while maintaining safety along the route.
