In a joint statement, the G7 leaders expressed their full backing of the deal and declared they stand “ready to participate in its implementation.”

 

Ensuring Maritime Security and De-escalation

The leaders emphasized the critical need for regional stability, explicitly calling for the guaranteed “free and unhindered passage” of vessels through the strategic Strait of Hormuz—a vital global choke point for oil shipments.

 

The G7 voiced strong support for leveraging this current understanding to secure a “comprehensive and robust diplomatic agreement” in the future. According to the leaders, any subsequent long-term accord must definitively “bring peace and security to all countries in the region.”

Turning to the broader conflicts reshaping the Middle East, the G7 leaders issued coordinated directives aimed at immediate de-escalation:

 

Lebanon: The leaders called for the swift establishment of an “immediate and lasting ceasefire” to halt ongoing hostilities.

 

Gaza Strip: The group pledged to “accelerate humanitarian efforts and reconstruction in Gaza,” promising to implement accompanying political and security measures as rapidly as possible.

 

West Bank: The statement concluded with an urgent demand for an immediate “end to the violence in the West Bank.”
