WANA (Oct 11) – The foreign ministers of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Islamic Republic of Pakistan held a telephone conversation on Saturday evening to discuss the latest regional and international developments, particularly the situation in Gaza and Palestine.

 

During the call, Dr. Seyed Abbas Araghchi, Iran’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, and Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar, Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, exchanged views on recent regional developments and emphasized the urgent need to end the ongoing atrocities committed by the Zionist regime against the defenseless people of Gaza. They also underscored the importance of joint efforts by Muslim countries to promote peace, stability, and justice in Palestine.

 

The two sides highlighted the vast potential for bilateral cooperation and stressed the importance of enhancing regional engagement, strengthening economic, trade, and transit ties, and utilizing all available capacities within bilateral and multilateral frameworks.

 

They also reaffirmed the need for active regional diplomacy, closer coordination, and information exchange among Muslim nations to address common challenges and support the Palestinian cause.

 

At the conclusion of the conversation, the foreign ministers welcomed all initiatives aimed at halting the genocide in Gaza and reaffirmed their commitment to continued consultations and coordination of positions ahead of upcoming meetings, including the summit in Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt.
