WANA (Jun 12) – Major General Hossein Salami, Commander-in-Chief of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), warned on Thursday that while adversaries threaten Iran with military confrontation, the country is fully prepared for every possible scenario, armed with strategic military plans and experience.

General Salami stated, “The enemy has attempted to shut every pathway to us and has engineered major wars against Iran. For years, we’ve been living amid a full-scale global war. The reason our people do not feel this war despite its scale is because of our exceptional strength. We absorb the pressure and continue fighting the enemy’s aspirations.”

He emphasized that Iran is currently at the heart of a global economic war. “Sanctions are a comprehensive operational strategy designed by our enemies to encircle the great nation of Iran, yet we continue to advance. Does today’s Iran resemble a globally sanctioned country? The answer is no, because Iran has reclaimed its glory.”

Leadership and Resistance: A Divine Mandate

Salami praised the resilience of the Iranian people under the guidance of what he described as a “divinely connected leader.” He likened Iran’s Supreme Leader to the Prophet Muhammad in his call for resistance.

“Our leader, standing firm in the face of the harshest threats, calls on the oppressed and Islamic world to resist. Like the Prophet, he was commanded to be steadfast, and through his leadership, we turned sanctions into opportunities for growth.”

He added, “No nation grows without hardship. Had we surrendered, like others, we would now be paying tribute to our enemies, sacrificing our faith, culture, and independence. Instead, we endured and became a model for the world’s oppressed and freedom-seekers.”

A Global Cultural War

Salami warned of an ongoing “cultural war” waged through satellite media, virtual spaces, and psychological operations aimed at detaching Iranian youth from religion, the Islamic system, and national leadership.

“This is a deliberate, calculated conspiracy—far from accidental. A global network is targeting hearts and minds, particularly of our youth.”

He also addressed the political dimension of the confrontation, noting that Iran’s enemies seek to isolate the country on the international stage. “They try to close the political gates of the world and push the sanctions agenda through political alliances. But Iran’s regional and global influence is undeniable. No major regional issue can be resolved without Iran’s involvement.”

Superiority in Intelligence Warfare

Highlighting Iran’s prowess in modern conflict, Salami said, “Victory today relies not just on faith, but also on awareness. In intelligence warfare, the Islamic Republic has demonstrated superiority. Iran’s Ministry of Intelligence exposed the vulnerabilities of the Zionist regime’s security apparatus, proving our dominance in this crucial arena.”

Military Threats and Iran’s Strategic Preparedness

Responding to recurring military threats from adversaries, Salami reaffirmed Iran’s readiness. “We’ve always declared—and repeat today—that we are fully prepared for any scenario. We are battle-hardened, experienced, and strategic. We know the enemy’s depth and have rehearsed our plans. If unleashed, our power will yield unimaginable victories that will make the enemy regret every threat and action.”

He dismissed the notion that Iran could be targeted like Gaza. “The enemy believes it can fight Iran as it fights the besieged and defenseless people of Gaza. They couldn’t even withstand the youth of Yemen—how can they confront Iran?”

In a final warning, Salami urged Iran’s adversaries to avoid dangerous miscalculations: “Think carefully about the consequences of your actions. Readiness for war at any level is not a slogan for us—it’s our lived reality and mission.”
