WANA (Mar 07) – The senior spokesperson of the Armed Forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran announced that heavy strikes against the United States and Israel will continue.

Brigadier General Abolfazl Shekarchi, the senior spokesperson for Iran’s Armed Forces, said in a live television interview on Saturday that since the first day of aggression by the United States and Israel, Iran had made its position clear.

He stated that wherever an act of aggression against the Islamic Republic of Iran originates will be considered a legitimate target. According to him, Iran will take the necessary action against such locations.

Shekarchi added that based on this policy, all bases used by the United States as points of origin for attacks against the Islamic Republic have been targeted.

At the same time, he emphasized that Iran has tried to ensure that neighboring and Muslim countries are not harmed. He said Iran has sought to avoid violating their national sovereignty and remains committed to maintaining the principle of good neighborliness.

The senior military spokesperson said that countries which have not allowed their territory, airspace, or facilities to be used by the United States for operations against Iran have not been targeted.

However, he warned that any country that allows its territory or airspace to be used by the United States or Israel for actions against Iran will naturally become a target.

He also noted that, as emphasized earlier by the Iranian president, Iran respects the national sovereignty of other countries. He said Iran believes that countries which do not allow their territory or facilities to be used by the United States or Israel should not face attacks or instability.

Shekarchi added that the security of Muslim countries is closely linked with the security of Iran.

He called on regional countries to stand together and confront acts of aggression.

“We have never backed down against the United States and Israel and we will not do so,” he said, adding that the strikes carried out so far will continue.

He also stressed that Iran’s officials, including the president, support this approach. According to him, countries that do not provide land, airspace, or facilities to Iran’s adversaries have not been targeted and will not be targeted.

In conclusion, Shekarchi expressed hope that the current situation will encourage regional countries to cooperate more closely and work together to push the United States — which he described as a source of instability in Islamic lands — out of the region.
