WANA (Jun 24) – Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf has concluded his official visit to Azerbaijan and departed Baku for Tehran following his participation in the 20th session of the Parliamentary Union of the OIC Member States (PUIC).

 

Ghalibaf arrived in the Azerbaijani capital early this morning for the high-profile summit.

 

During his brief but intensive diplomatic mission, the Parliament Speaker delivered a keynote address at the PUIC conference mapping out Iran’s vision for regional cooperation.

 

On the sidelines of the summit, Ghalibaf held high-level bilateral talks with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev to discuss neighboring relations and regional stability.

 

He also met separately with his counterparts, the parliamentary speakers of both Turkey and Azerbaijan, to strengthen inter-parliamentary ties before departing the airport for Tehran.
