WANA (May 01) – Iran’s Parliament Speaker stressed that the country cannot be encircled, pointing to the vast length of its borders.

Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf wrote in a post on his X account that if two hypothetical walls were drawn across the United States—one from New York to the West Coast and another from Los Angeles to the East Coast—their combined length would be about 7,775 kilometers, which is still around 1,000 kilometers shorter than Iran’s total borders.

He added, in a sarcastic remark, that encircling a country with such an extensive border length is not feasible.

He also noted, in a sarcastic remark directed at the U.S. Secretary of Defense, that each kilometer equals 0.62 miles.
