WANA (Jun 09) – Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, Speaker of Iran’s Parliament and head of the Iranian negotiating team, emphasized Iran’s preference for diplomacy while warning of consequences if other parties fail to honor their commitments.

In a message posted in English on his X account, Ghalibaf wrote: “We prefer the language of diplomacy, but we speak other languages far more fluently.”

He stressed that Iran would respond accordingly if the other side violated its obligations, stating: “If you break your commitments, we will resort to the language that we know best.”

The Iranian parliament speaker concluded his message with a pointed remark, saying: “You will ride the horse that you have saddled yourself.”
