Ghalibaf: “Israel, Be Angry—and Die of Your Rage!
WANA (Aug 03) – “Israel, be angry—and die of your rage,” declared Iran’s Parliament Speaker Mohammad Baqer Ghalibaf, while warning Tel Aviv of its strategic miscalculation. Speaking after Iran’s participation in a major international summit in Geneva, he emphasized that the Islamic Republic has emerged from the 12-day war not weakened but more powerful, and fully prepared for diplomacy from a position of strength.
Speaker Condemns Israeli Crimes, Highlights Iran’s Rising Position After War
Addressing lawmakers on Sunday, Ghalibaf referred to Iran’s participation in the recent Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) summit in Geneva, marking the country’s first formal presence at a UN-affiliated venue after the 12-day war. “This summit was of great importance as it featured the presence of over 110 parliamentary delegations from around the world,” he said.
Ghalibaf emphasized that Western media attempted to portray Iran as the loser in the war in order to pressure the country into accepting a forced peace. “Our delegation’s first mission was to counter this media narrative, which could lead to dangerous misjudgments by the enemy,” he stated.
He explained that the second mission was to become the voice of the oppressed people of Gaza and to demand humanity from world governments and international organizations. “At a time when the people of Gaza are subjected to systematic genocide, we stood firm in demanding action.”

Iran Hosts Side Event on International Law and UN Charter in Geneva
According to Ghalibaf, Iran’s delegation pursued these goals through three channels: hosting a side event on adherence to international law and the UN Charter, delivering formal speeches, and holding bilateral meetings.
He noted that the side event, organized by Iran at the UN headquarters in Geneva, was attended by 31 parliamentary delegations and three international organizations—an unexpected turnout, even for Iran’s allies.
“This level of participation strengthened the morale of friendly nations and frustrated Iran’s enemies,” he said. “It shattered the media narrative of a weakened Iran and signaled a new era of enhanced international authority for the Islamic Republic.”
Challenging the Narrative of a Weak Iran
Ghalibaf highlighted that his official speech at the summit gained significant international and media attention. “The first strategic goal was to dismantle the image of a weakened Iran. We made it clear that Iran does not beg for its security from anyone, and that the illegal and oppressive behavior of the U.S. and Israel must be called out under the UN Charter.”
He added, “They must accept our legal rights. Any ambitions toward a forced war or peace will fail. Iran stands as the victor and is fully prepared to enter a new phase of diplomacy—one that is rational and dignified.”
Exposing Zionist Fascism
The second strategic goal, Ghalibaf said, was to expose the criminal Zionist regime and its Western supporters. “We showed that this regime is built on 21st-century Nazism, characterized by state racism, systematic genocide, and aggression against the territorial integrity of other nations. It is a threat to global security.”
He warned that if the international community fails to confront Israel’s fascist behavior, all nations will suffer its consequences. “Failure to act will bring about the collapse of the international system itself, undermining its legitimacy and sending a dangerous message for global peace.”

“Shame on You”: Qalibaf Rebukes Knesset Speaker in Geneva
WANA (Jul 31) – Mohammad Bagher Qalibaf, Speaker of Iran’s Parliament, reacted to remarks by the Speaker of Israel’s Knesset at the World Conference of Parliaments in Geneva, where the latter had dismissed reports of child starvation in Gaza as “fake news.” Qalibaf wrote: “The criminal Speaker of the Knesset claims that the starvation […]
Parliamentary Delegation Provokes Israeli Reaction at Geneva Summit
Ghalibaf noted that Iran’s parliamentary delegation provoked a reaction from the head of Israel’s Knesset, who was forced into a defensive position during the Geneva summit. “He went so far as to deny the starvation of children in Gaza, contradicting all official UN reports.”
“What stood out even more,” Ghalibaf said, “was the echo of the slogan ‘Death to Israel’ from Iran’s representatives, which turned the Iranian Parliament into a symbol of freedom and resistance.” He concluded powerfully: “Here and now, we declare with pride: Israel, be angry with us—and die of your rage.”
Diplomatic Momentum and Praise from World Leaders
Regarding bilateral meetings, Ghalibaf said that the dominant message was admiration for Iran’s strength and its principled stance against the U.S. and Israel.
“Our capacity for powerful retaliation was acknowledged, and we worked to expand diplomatic potential for the Foreign Ministry while exploring economic and trade cooperation with various countries.”
