WANA (Jun 26) – Speaker of the Iranian Parliament, Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, has officially notified Iran’s President Pezeshkian of the new law requiring the government to suspend cooperation with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).

In a post on his personal account on the social media platform X, Ghalibaf shared an image of the official letter sent to the president and wrote:

“Today, following the Guardian Council’s approval, the law mandating suspension of cooperation with the International Atomic Energy Agency has been officially communicated.

Continued cooperation with the Agency, which plays the role of facilitator of war and aggression and acts as a representative of the illegitimate Zionist regime’s anti-human interests, is impossible until we are assured of the security of our nuclear facilities.”

This announcement follows the Iranian Parliament’s approval of the bill in a public session held the previous day.

Today, Guardian Council spokesperson Tahan Nazif confirmed that the council has approved the bill, clearing the way for its implementation.
