WANA (Apr 10) – Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, Speaker of Iran’s Parliament, has stated that two key conditions must be met before any negotiations can begin—conditions he says have yet to be fulfilled by the other side.

Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf wrote in a post on his X (formerly Twitter) account that two agreed measures—a ceasefire in Lebanon and the release of Iran’s frozen assets—must be fully implemented prior to entering any phase of negotiations.

According to the report, Ghalibaf stressed that launching talks without these commitments being honored would lack a reliable foundation. He described the two issues as definitive prerequisites for any potential dialogue and underscored the importance of the other side adhering to prior agreements.
