WANA (Apr 21) – Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, the Speaker of the Iranian Parliament, has taken to social media to challenge the American public and criticize the “Make America Great Again” (MAGA) slogan.

Questioning the True Cost of War

In a post on his X (formerly Twitter) account, the Iranian official posed a pointed question regarding U.S. foreign policy and its domestic impact. Ghalibaf asked: “They’ll sell war to make what great again?”

The “MAGA” Parody Poll

Ghalibaf provided four satirical options in the form of a poll, mocking the famous political acronym by replacing “America” with domestic issues:

  1. Inflation (MIGA): Make Inflation Great Again
  2. Unaffordability (MUGA): Make Unaffordability Great Again
  3. Oligarchs (MOGA): Make Oligarchs Great Again
  4. Epsteinocracy (MEGA): Make Epsteinocracy Great Again

The remarks come at a time of heightened tension between Tehran and Washington, with the Iranian Speaker suggesting that U.S. leadership is prioritizing war-mongering over the economic and social well-being of its own citizens.
