WANA (Jul 09) – Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf said the United States has yet to realize that coercion and breaking commitments come at a cost, warning that continued pressure would only worsen Washington’s position.

 

“Let me be clear: Strike, and you will pay the price,” Ghalibaf wrote in a post on X.

 

He added that the Strait of Hormuz “will reopen only under Iranian arrangements, not under American threats,” warning the United States against what he described as futile efforts.

 

Ship Traffic Through Strait of Hormuz Nearly Comes to a Halt

Bloomberg, citing ship-tracking data, reported that vessel traffic through the Strait of Hormuz had come to an almost complete standstill on Thursday.

 

According to the report, the limited remaining maritime traffic in the strait has been restricted to a specific route near its northern coastline that has been approved by Iran.
