WANA (Apr 02) – Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, Speaker of Iran’s Parliament, addressed U.S. President Donald Trump, warning that any hostile action against Iran would face a unified and powerful response from its people.

Reflecting on his personal experience during the Iran-Iraq War, he said that at the age of 18, he took up arms and went straight to the frontlines to defend his homeland—“the only home I have ever known.”

Ghalibaf also spoke about the loss of his brother, Hassan, who was killed in the war, describing the pain as something that never fades. “Even today, I wish I could embrace him just one more time,” he said.

He added that many of those he lost were not related by blood but were like family—men who fought bravely and became an inseparable part of his life.

“This is what we do,” he said. “We give everything we have for the land we love—our youth, our blood, and all the tomorrows we once had—for Iran.”

Emphasizing that Iran does not seek war, Ghalibaf stated: “We are not warlike people. But when it comes to defending our homeland, every single one of us becomes a soldier.”

He also noted that in less than a week, a powerful nationwide campaign has emerged, with around seven million Iranians declaring their readiness to take up arms and defend their country.

“Let me say this clearly and from the heart,” he concluded. “Iranians don’t just talk about defending their country—they bleed for it. We have done it before, and we are ready to do it again.”

“If you harm our home,” he warned, “you will face an entire family—ready, armed, and standing firm.”
