Ghalibaf: USS Abraham Lincoln Retreated After Encounter With Iranian Missiles and Drones
WANA (Mar 06) – The Speaker of Iran’s Parliament stated that the aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln left the battlefield and withdrew during its first encounter with Iranian missiles and drones.
Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, Speaker of the Islamic Consultative Assembly, wrote in a post on his personal account on the social media platform X: “They created enormous hype around the USS Abraham Lincoln to put pressure on us, but this much-touted ‘bride’ left the battlefield and retreated at its first encounter with Iranian missiles and drones.
A vessel that was supposed to defend the security and stability of America’s allies cannot even defend itself against a handful of drones and instead flees the scene.
It is essential for America’s allies and the U.S. media to investigate this matter so that they do not tie their own security and the safety of American soldiers to the lies of Trump and Netanyahu.”
The Speaker published the post with the hashtag “Israel First.”
Yesterday, he also stated that American taxpayers would certainly be surprised if they learned that, in defence prioritisation, the “Israel First” strategy has been placed on the agenda. The consequences of leaving American interests and soldiers undefended will not be limited to the Middle East.
