WANA (Jun 01) – Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, Speaker of Iran’s Islamic Consultative Assembly, arrived in Caracas on Sunday afternoon at the head of a high-ranking parliamentary delegation.

 

Ghalibaf was officially welcomed at Caracas International Airport by Venezuela’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Minister of Transport, the head of the Iran-Venezuela Joint Commission, several members of the Venezuelan National Assembly, as well as Iran’s ambassador and embassy staff.

 

During his visit, Ghalibaf is scheduled to meet with senior Venezuelan officials and business leaders from both countries. The agenda includes discussions on removing obstacles to bilateral trade and expanding economic cooperation.

 

The Iranian Speaker is touring Latin America to participate in the BRICS Parliamentary Forum in Brazil and to strengthen economic, political, and cultural ties with Venezuela and Cuba.
