Ghalibaf: Zionist Regime Understands Only the Language of Power
WANA (Jul 20) – Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, Speaker of Iran’s Islamic Consultative Assembly, declared on Sunday that the “Zionist regime” is “the enemy of any form of peace, stability, sovereignty, and territorial integrity throughout the region,” adding that “the only language it understands is the language of power.”
Speaking during an open parliamentary session, Ghalibaf stressed the importance of national unity and warned against actions that could undermine cohesion. “It is a duty for all to avoid anything that weakens unity and integration,” he said. “We must stand firm against those who benefit from division and discord.”
He added, “No one should be allowed to exploit political differences to build a base for themselves or their political faction.”
Ghalibaf warned that certain individuals, motivated by hostility, anger, or political factionalism, view their survival in attacking the system’s unifying image. “But the Iranian nation is determined to maintain harmony and cohesion, and with God’s help, this national will shall grow stronger every day.”
Referring to recent Israeli airstrikes on Damascus, the Speaker stated, “Iran will always stand by the people of Syria and defend the unity and territorial integrity of that country. However, the regime’s widespread attacks on proxies and agents of global hegemony carried significant messages.”
Ghalibaf continued, “The Islamic Ummah has now realized that Damascus will not be the last Islamic capital targeted by this Zionist regime. Islamic states and nations must unite to restrain America’s unleashed guard dog before this fire spreads to them as well.”
Ghalibaf accused Israel of pursuing destabilization, disarmament, and the fragmentation of Islamic countries, aiming to expand its territorial reach.
He warned: “Those governments that define their security through alignment with the excessive demands of this criminal regime must know they are living in a bubble in the middle of a stormy ocean — and they don’t have much time left to preserve their territorial integrity.”
Referring to Israel’s recent military operations, Ghalibaf said: “The bombing of Syria’s entire defensive infrastructure, the assault on Damascus, threats, occupation, and open attempts to fragment the country have clearly exposed the truth to the naive who believed that obeying this unchained rabid dog would bring peace and stability.”
He concluded by urging a firm response: “The time has come for Islamic governments to show courage, stand up to this regime with the support of the Muslim Ummah, and force it to retreat.”
He also emphasized that Muslim countries possess significant economic capabilities that must be used practically — beyond issuing statements — to halt the Zionist regime’s expansionism and genocidal machinery. “They must act now to save themselves from the regime’s future plans,” he said.
