Gharibabadi Criticizes U.S. Pledge to Target ICC Over Israeli Arrest Warrant
WANA (Jul 27) – Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Kazem Gharibabadi has criticized the Israeli Prime Minister and the United States following reports that Washington promised to act against the International Criminal Court (ICC).
In a statement addressing the developments, Gharibabadi pointed out that the Israeli Prime Minister—who is currently subject to an ICC arrest warrant—boldly announced that the U.S. Secretary of State assured action against the court pursuing him.
Gharibabadi added that Washington labels the ICC as “corrupt” simply because the tribunal took action to prosecute an official backed by the United States.
