WANA (Aug 31) – Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister Kazem Gharibabadi has responded to the U.S. attack on Lark Island overnight, describing the action as part of a military aggression against Iran and stressing that any violation of the country’s territorial integrity would face a decisive response from Iran’s armed forces.

 

Gharibabadi said the Islamic Republic would respond firmly to acts of aggression at any level, adding that Iran’s armed forces had already demonstrated their ability to respond to such actions.

 

He also called for an end to the presence of foreign forces in the region, warning that foreign powers must learn from the consequences and refrain from repeating similar acts against Iran.

 

Gharibabadi made the remarks on the sidelines of President Masoud Pezeshkian’s visit to Kyrgyzstan.
