WANA (Aug 28) – Kazem Gharibabadi, Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister for Legal and International Affairs, has reacted to Donald Trump on social media, suggesting the US President requires medical evaluation following a controversial post regarding the Strait of Hormuz.

 

The diplomatic backlash comes after Trump shared a graphic on Truth Social that listed official US territories alongside a map of the Strait of Hormuz—a vital strategic waterway off the Iranian coast—labeled under “NEW” territories.

 

In a post responding to the graphic, Gharibabadi shared a screenshot of Trump’s post accompanied by a definition of schizophrenia.

 

“Schizophrenia is a complex and severe psychiatric disorder characterized by disrupted thinking and a distorted perception of reality,” Gharibabadi wrote.

 

“Its most common symptoms are delusions and hallucinations. Psychologists recommend that such patients be kept under 24-hour observation and receive treatment.”

 

The Iranian official’s response underscores the escalating rhetoric between Washington and Tehran, using exceptionally blunt language to dismiss claims over the strategic maritime bottleneck through which a major portion of the world’s oil supply passes.
