WANA (Sep 11) – Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi said the world is increasingly losing confidence in the US financial system, criticizing Washington’s economic policies toward Iran.

 

Araghchi wrote on Friday, September 11, on X that the US Treasury secretary was boasting about efforts to pressure Iran’s economy and make Iranians poorer, but had instead found himself “helpless and powerless” in the face of public opinion.

 

The Iranian foreign minister added that, amid such policies, “the world is increasingly losing confidence in the US financial system.”

 

Araghchi further stressed that “the crisis stemming from the cost of financing US debt is only the beginning of the story.”
