WANA (May 20) – Rafael Grossi, the Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), expressed deep concern on Tuesday regarding potential attacks on nuclear facilities, labeling any such actions as “unacceptable” and emphasizing that nuclear sites must never be targeted.

Grossi stated that the IAEA supports diplomacy and emphasized the necessity of the agency verifying Iran’s nuclear facilities.

The IAEA chief reiterated his anxieties over the vulnerability of nuclear infrastructure, firmly stressing that no nuclear facility should ever become a military target under any circumstances.

Furthermore, Grossi called for maximum restraint from all parties involved. He assured that the UN nuclear watchdog is closely monitoring regional developments and stands fully prepared to respond to any emergency situation within the Persian Gulf nations.
