Hadi Choopan Advances to Mr. Olympia 2025 Finals
WANA (Oct 11) – The 61st edition of the Mr. Olympia competition is currently underway in Las Vegas, featuring the world’s top bodybuilders. Hadi Choopan, known as the “Persian Wolf,” has successfully reached the finals, while fellow Iranian Behrouz Tabani, competing for the first time, was unable to join the top contenders and was eliminated.
This year’s annual competition includes 11 categories, with athletes competing for the most prestigious titles in the sport. Alongside Choopan, defending champion Samson Dauda and powerhouse Derek Lunsford are contending for the overall championship.
Andrew Jacked, who placed fourth, has also advanced to the finals. Reports suggest that the championship showdown tomorrow will be between Hadi Choopan and Derek Lunsford.
Choupan impressed judges in the 2025 preliminary round with his highly developed back muscles, and attention now turns to his performance in the finals. The final round is scheduled for Sunday, when it will be determined whether Choopan can secure the Mr. Olympia title this year.
Previously, on October 13, 2024, Choopan earned second place at Mr. Olympia for the second time. That year, Samson Dauda, the Nigerian bodybuilder, won the championship and a $600,000 prize for the first time.
As for Behrouz Tabani, this was his first appearance at Mr. Olympia. He was unable to join the top contenders and missed last year’s competition due to visa issues, making this year his long-awaited debut.
