Handala Deletes 22TB of Data from 14 Israeli Companies During Passover
WANA (Apr 02) – The hacker group “Handala” has announced the execution of a large-scale cyber operation targeting the infrastructure of companies affiliated with the Israeli regime, coinciding with the arrival of Passover. According to the group, the operation resulted in the complete deletion of 22 terabytes of data from 14 companies.
In the published statement, Handala referred to the holiday and began its message in a sarcastic tone addressed to “Zionists and occupiers,” describing the action as a “cyber gift.” The statement goes on to say that the operation was designed and carried out as part of a “continued commitment to supporting the oppressed and confronting occupation and injustice.”
According to the details provided, data belonging to 14 companies was completely destroyed in this cyber operation, with the total volume of deleted information reaching 22 terabytes. Handala described the action as “a reminder of the costs of occupation.”
The list of targeted companies was announced as follows: DanielBengioCPA, Fuse Stereo, Gavriel Weiss C.P.A, Hagai Namir, Kalus, Migvan 2002, Mouth or Foot Painting Artists Ltd, Opal Plastic, PoliPach, Rim Ishak Hagi, SITT, Toledano Architecture & Design, To-Mix, and Yarok.
In the final part of the statement, Handala issued a warning, emphasizing that no database is beyond the group’s reach and that continuation of the current course would be accompanied by “heavier costs” in cyberspace. It also concluded by again referencing Passover, suggesting that the occasion could serve as an opportunity to pay greater attention to cybersecurity.
