WANA (May 12) – The “Handala” hacker group has announced a major cyber operation, claiming to have sent warning messages directly via WhatsApp to tens of thousands of residents across the occupied territories. Several Israeli media outlets have confirmed the widespread receipt of these messages.

According to a statement released by the group, the cyberattack targeted a massive database of citizens. The text of the distributed message reads:

“Residents of the occupied lands! This is the final warning; soon the sky above you will turn into a burning hell, and the missiles of the Resistance will rain down upon you.”

The message further emphasized that “no shelter will save you, and no house, street, or city will be safe from revenge.”

Handala asserted that this operation serves as a demonstration of the Resistance’s “intelligence and cyber penetration deep into the occupied territories.”

Israeli newspaper Israel Hayom and other local outlets confirmed that users across the country reported receiving the threatening texts simultaneously.

The Israel National Cyber Directorate also announced that it has identified this large-scale psychological warfare in recent hours. Officials state that the campaign’s primary objective is to disrupt collective mental tranquility and create a persistent sense of “digital stalking” among the public.

Israeli security sources had recently warned of extensive cyber penetrations by Iranian-linked agents into the country’s security and communication infrastructures, viewing these mass-messaging campaigns as a key tool in modern asymmetric warfare.
