Hatami: Any Aggression Will Face a Unified Response From Army and IRGC
WANA (Sep 12) – Army Commander Major General Amir Hatami said Iran’s enemies had clearly seen that any aggression would face a unified, swift, intelligent, and strong response from the forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran Army and the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).
Speaking at a joint meeting with IRGC Commander Major General Ahmad Vahidi to review the latest situation, Hatami said the Islamic system was today at the height of its power and standing as a result of such resistance.
Vahidi, who also spoke at the meeting, commemorated the memory of those killed in the recent war, particularly members of the Army, including Major General Seyed Abdolrahim Mousavi and Major General Aziz Nasirzadeh. Vahidi said national unity and cohesion had been the greatest achievement of the recent military war and the enemy’s threats.
He said there had been unprecedented unity among all military and law enforcement forces, as well as unprecedented intelligence and operational coordination, which he identified as important factors in the victory.
Vahidi also praised the Army’s role in the two recent wars, saying the fighting spirit and patriotism of Army commanders and personnel had recorded “brilliant pages of manhood and sacrifice” in Iran’s history. He said the revolutionary Army had acted in a revolutionary manner through operational initiatives during the war.
Vahidi said the Army and IRGC, as two major anti-American powers, had “brought the terrorist powers to their knees.”
Praising the bravery of Army personnel, Vahidi said the Americans had encountered the “strong barrier of the faith and honor of Iranians,” adding that helplessness and desperation could be seen in the behavior and decisions of the White House. He said U.S. President Donald Trump had resorted to lies and deception to create achievements.
Vahidi said U.S. and Israeli intelligence and military agencies had misled American political officials about Iran’s military challenges and resilience, adding that U.S. political officials were now attempting to deceive the American people to cover up their defeats.

Vahidi said the military capabilities of the Islamic Republic of Iran Army were beyond the enemy’s expectations and that, during the war, the enemy had witnessed its mistaken assessments of the Army’s capabilities firsthand.
He added that the realities of Iran’s military capabilities were being revealed on the ground. Vahidi also said the Israeli army would collapse in a very short time without American support.
Hatami: Unbreakable Army-IRGC Unity Protects Iran
At the meeting, Army Commander Major General Amir Hatami said the IRGC had, for more than four decades, been one of the main pillars of Iran’s national power, security and deterrence.
He said the IRGC today, relying on its faith, experience and strategic capabilities, remained firmly at the forefront of defending the country’s independence and security. Hatami said the continued hostility of the “front of arrogance” toward the IRGC was clear evidence of the force’s decisive role in maintaining national power and security.
He said Iran’s enemies knew that the IRGC represented the will and defensive power of the Iranian people and was one of the most important obstacles to achieving their objectives.
Hatami commemorated those killed in defense of Iran and said the IRGC was the heir to the blood of commanders and fighters who had sacrificed their lives in defense of Iran and the Islamic Revolution.
He specifically named Major General Hossein Salami, Major General Mohammad Pakpour, Major General Amir Ali Hajizadeh, and other commanders and IRGC personnel who were killed, saying their names and sacrifices would remain in Iran’s history.
Hatami said the IRGC, through cooperation and synergy with the Islamic Republic of Iran Army and relying on its faithful and self-sacrificing personnel, continued to be a strong barrier against any threat or aggression. He said this had left Iran’s enemies disappointed.

Hatami said the demand of Iran’s enemies since the victory of the Islamic Revolution had been for the Iranian people to abandon their legitimate demands. He said the Iranian people, despite enduring hardships and costs and sacrificing many martyrs, had resisted their enemies and would continue to do so.
He called on Iran’s enemies to change their view toward the Iranian people, the Islamic Republic and the leadership of the Islamic Revolution, saying they should know that the Iranian people must be addressed “in the language of respect.”
Hatami emphasized that the unity and coordination between the Islamic Republic of Iran Army and the IRGC constituted a strong pillar of national security and a key to reaching the heights of security and power.
He said the unbreakable unity between the Army and IRGC, as expected by the leaders of the Islamic Revolution, was an “iron shield” that had protected Iran from the enemies’ sedition, schemes, and conspiracies.
Hatami added that during the recent imposed wars and in resisting the demands of Iran’s enemies, Iran had once again demonstrated that it would not bargain over its national interests. He said the Iranian people and the armed forces originating from the people would continue the path of those who had been killed with strength.
“The enemies of the great Iranian nation clearly saw that the slightest aggression will face a unified, swift, intelligent, and strong response from the forces of the Army and IRGC,” Hatami said.
