Head of Iran’s Expediency Council: Enemies Have Failed to Achieve Their Sinister Goals
WANA (Jun 13) – The Chairman of Iran’s Expediency Discernment Council, Sadeq Amoli Larijani, stated that attempts by foreign adversaries to weaken and divide Iran have failed, claiming instead that these actions have only reinforced national unity.
In a statement published on social media on Saturday, Larijani marked the one-year anniversary of the deaths of several high-ranking Iranian military officials and figures, whom he referred to as “great commanders of Islam.”
He wrote: “Now that one year has passed since the martyrdom of the great commanders of Islam; martyrs Bagheri, Salami, Hajizadeh, Rashid, and other martyrs of the second imposed war, such as the martyr Dr. Tehranichi, it has become clearer than ever that the enemies of Iran, despite all their malice and crimes, have failed to achieve their sinister goals.”
He added: “Although the will of the American and Zionist oppressors was aimed at weakening and collapsing the Islamic system and creating division among the Iranian nation, the pure blood of these martyrs, by divine will, became the source of greater consolidation of national unity, renewal of the spirit of resistance, and the steadfastness of the faithful nation of Iran against the enemies.”
