WANA (Aug 14) – Sheikh Naim Qassem, Secretary-General of Hezbollah, met with Ali Larijani, Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, during Larijani’s visit to Lebanon.

In the meeting, Sheikh Naim Qassem expressed gratitude for the Islamic Republic of Iran’s continued support for Lebanon and its resistance against the Israeli regime. He stressed the bonds of brotherhood between the peoples of Iran and Lebanon, describing these relations as a pillar of steadfastness and resistance in the region.

On Wednesday night, Ali Larijani also visited the tomb of the late Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, former Secretary-General of Hezbollah, and delivered remarks in praise of his character and struggles. He described Hezbollah as “a living, enduring movement and a source of pride for Islam,” and emphasized that the path of the martyred Nasrallah was a combination of reason and struggle.

Addressing members of Hezbollah, Larijani said: “You may face hostility and animosity, but that only reflects your influence. Your duty is to remain steadfast on the path of resistance, and we will always stand by you.”

He stressed that while Iran does not interfere in the internal affairs of other countries, it will continue to support resistance movements. Larijani described the martyred Nasrallah as “a great asset to the Islamic world,” highlighting his dedication, genuine Islamic thought, and spiritual inclinations.
