WANA (May 30) – A high-level security delegation from Iraq and the Kurdistan Region will visit Tehran in June to discuss bilateral security cooperation, Iran’s Ambassador to Baghdad, Mohammad-Kazem Al-Sadeq, stated.

Led by Iraqi National Security Advisor Qasim al-Araji, the delegation will include the KRG Interior Minister and a representative from the Iraqi Foreign Ministry.

Al-Sadeq stated the visit aims to enforce the existing Iran-Iraq security pact. He emphasized that Baghdad and the Kurdistan Regional Government must fully implement the agreement by either extraditing or expelling “separatist terrorist groups” operating from the Kurdistan Region.
