WANA (Aug 25) – The Iranian women’s youth national handball team achieved a historic milestone in the country’s handball history with a sweeping victory over Kyrgyzstan.

 

On August 25, in their final group-stage match of the 18th Asian Women’s Youth Handball Championship, Iran faced Kyrgyzstan and claimed a remarkable 77–12 win. The 65-goal margin set an unprecedented record for Iranian handball across both Asian and world competitions.

 

With this victory, Iran’s women’s youth team secured their second win in the tournament—after defeating Kazakhstan earlier—bringing their total points to four.

 

The 18th Asian Women’s Youth Handball Championship is being hosted in Uzbekistan and will continue until August 30.
