IAEA Statement on Isfahan Nuclear Site
WANA (Jun 14) – The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) has reported no increase in radiation levels outside the Isfahan nuclear site.
In a post on X, the Agency stated: “The Isfahan nuclear facility was targeted multiple times on June 13. So far, no increase in radiation levels outside the site has been reported.”
The IAEA emphasized that it remains in close contact with Iranian authorities.
IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi added: “The IAEA is aware of reports concerning the Isfahan and Fordow nuclear facilities and is seeking further information from Iranian officials regarding any possible impact.”

In the early hours of Friday, June 13, 2025, a coordinated terrorist attack by the Israeli regime targeted Tehran and several other Iranian cities. The assault resulted in the deaths of a number of military commanders, scientists, and civilians.
In response to what was described as a crime by the Israeli regime, Iran’s Supreme Leader issued a message to the Iranian nation, declaring: “The regime must await a harsh punishment. By God’s will, the powerful hand of the Islamic Republic’s armed forces will not let it go unpunished.”
Following Israel’s early morning attack on Iran’s nuclear facilities, the spokesperson for the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran announced that the damage inflicted so far has been limited and largely superficial. Behrouz Kamalvandi, speaking to the media, stated that while a full assessment is still underway, initial observations indicate surface-level damage, with the underground sections of Natanz and Fordow remaining unharmed.
He added that Iran had repeatedly warned the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) about Israeli threats: “We sent several letters to the IAEA Director General regarding Israel’s threats, but received no response. Not only did he ignore them, he even justified the threats in an interview.”
