WANA (Oct 18) – Iran’s Vice President arrived in Ardabil Province on Saturday morning (October 18) to inaugurate and launch the Northwest Iran Irradiation Center.

 

Mohammad Eslami, Vice President of Iran, and Gholamreza Nouri Ghezeljeh, Minister of Agriculture Jihad, were welcomed by Masoud Emami Yeganeh, Governor of Ardabil, and Ali Nikzad, Deputy Speaker of the Islamic Consultative Assembly, upon their arrival.

 

The Northwest Iran Irradiation Center, located in Ardabil, has been designed for irradiating agricultural products such as potatoes, onions, and garlic. The facility was entirely built by Iranian experts.

 

The center will officially begin operation within hours, in a ceremony attended by Vice President Mohammad Eslami, Agriculture Minister Gholamreza Nouri Ghezeljeh, Governor Masoud Emami Yeganeh, Deputy Speaker Ali Nikzad, the CEO of the Radiation Applications Development Company, as well as senior officials from Iran’s nuclear industry and local authorities.
