Indonesian Couple Names Newborn “Ali Khamenei”
WANA (Apr 09) – An Indonesian couple’s decision to name their newborn child “Ali Khamenei” has attracted significant attention, prompting the Cultural Office of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Indonesia to honor them with gifts.
According to a statement released by the office, the gesture is seen as a symbol of cultural and spiritual ties between the peoples of Iran and Indonesia, reflecting the cross-border influence of figures such as Ali Khamenei.
In recognition of this act, representatives of the Iranian Cultural Office visited the family and expressed their appreciation by presenting flowers and gifts.
The story quickly gained traction across international media and social platforms, particularly in Southeast Asia, becoming one of the most widely viewed topics.
According to the report, the child’s father, Arsa Putra, and mother, Vardatul Jannah, reside in the village of Tibun in Kampar. By choosing this name, the couple expressed their admiration for Iran’s leader and conveyed a message of solidarity with the Iranian people.
