WANA (Jun 17) – A source close to the Iranian negotiating team has dismissed the accuracy of a document published by Bloomberg, which purports to be the full text of the upcoming memorandum of understanding (MoU) between Iran and the United States, colloquially referred to as the “Islamabad Accord.”

 

The source stated that the leaked draft contains multiple deficiencies and fails to accurately reflect the actual terms of the agreement.

 

“The memorandum consists of 14 clauses, as previously announced, and the general subject matter of these clauses has been repeatedly discussed in the media,” the source said. “However, the specific details provided by Bloomberg regarding individual clauses are notably flawed and incomplete.”

 

The insider specifically highlighted critical sections of the report as being misrepresented. “For instance, the first clause and the clause pertaining to the Strait of Hormuz published by Bloomberg are distinctly inaccurate, and several vital keywords have been omitted entirely,” the source emphasized.

 

According to the official, the definitive and finalized text of the agreement is scheduled for public release this Friday, following the official signing ceremony by both parties.
