Informed Source: Iran Reviewing Response to Israeli Attacks in Lebanon
WANA (Apr 08) – An informed source reported that Iran is reviewing a possible response to recent Israeli attacks in Lebanon.
A knowledgeable security-military source stated that Iran is currently assessing its options in response to Israel’s military actions in Lebanon.
The source added that, following continued violations of the temporary ceasefire and recent Israeli army attacks on various parts of Lebanon, discussions in Tehran have turned toward adopting a deterrent measure. According to the source, such actions could potentially target Israeli military positions in the occupied territories.
The source also emphasized that within Iran’s decision-making circles, there is a growing assessment that Israel’s continued attacks—despite existing agreements—may indicate either the United States’ inability to restrain the policies of Benjamin Netanyahu’s government or that the U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) has granted Israel greater operational freedom.
It is worth noting that just hours earlier, reports emerged of a new Israeli strike on Beirut and further violations of the ceasefire.
The WANA News Agency states that it is not independently able to verify the accuracy of these claims.
