WANA (Sep 15) – A deputy coordinator of Iran’s Air Force said three Iranian pilots involved in the operation against the U.S. Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar are believed to be alive and in captivity, stressing that Qatar must provide answers about their fate.

Brigadier General Jafari said nearly six months have passed without any information about the three pilots’ whereabouts, while the Qatari government has yet to provide a clear response regarding their status.

“We consider these three personnel alive and captive until their fate is determined,” Jafari said.

He added that the Qatari government must answer both to Iran and the International Committee of the Red Cross regarding the pilots’ fate.
