WANA (Feb 04) – Seyed Abbas Araghchi, Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran, and Badr Abdelatty, Egypt’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, held a telephone conversation to discuss the latest regional developments and ways to reduce tensions.

 

During the call, the two sides exchanged views on the current situation in the region and stressed the need for constructive and coordinated action by regional countries to preserve stability and prevent further escalation of crises.

 

Iran’s foreign minister highlighted the importance of regional cooperation and expressed appreciation for Egypt’s diplomatic efforts and initiatives aimed at de-escalation and the promotion of peace and stability, describing Cairo’s role in advancing constructive regional dialogue as significant.

 

For his part, Egypt’s foreign minister reaffirmed his country’s firm commitment to maintaining peace and security in the region and emphasized Egypt’s readiness to support any diplomatic solution that would lead to de-escalation and the peaceful resolution of disputes.

 

At the conclusion of the call, both ministers underscored the importance of continued consultations and close coordination among regional countries as a strategic necessity for managing sensitive developments and preventing further instability.
