WANA (Jun 07) – Iran’s Foreign Minister hosted his Kazakh counterpart in Tehran on Saturday.

 

Seyed Abbas Araghchi, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, welcomed Murat Nurtleu, Kazakhstan’s Foreign Minister, at the Iranian Foreign Ministry headquarters.

 

Following the official reception, the two senior diplomats held bilateral talks and signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) aimed at expanding cooperation between the two countries.

 

According to a statement from Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Nurtleu is also scheduled to meet with Masoud Pezeshkian, President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, as well as representatives of Iranian businesses.

 

The Kazakh Foreign Ministry noted that the upcoming talks are expected to strengthen political dialogue, expand cooperation in trade and economic sectors, attract investment, and enhance business-to-business ties between the two nations.

 

Key topics to be discussed include transportation, logistics connectivity, energy, agriculture, and collaboration within regional and international organizations.
