WANA (Nov 26) – Ali Larijani, Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, met today with Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Chief of Army Staff of Pakistan, at the General Headquarters (GHQ) in Rawalpindi.

 

During the meeting, the two sides exchanged views on bilateral cooperation, regional security developments, and ways to strengthen Tehran-Islamabad relations.

 

Larijani highlighted Pakistan’s key role in regional security dynamics, emphasizing that close cooperation between Iran and Pakistan is crucial for countering shared threats.

 

He noted that ongoing coordination between the two countries could contribute significantly to regional stability and lasting security.

 

Field Marshal Munir, in turn, expressed a positive assessment of Tehran-Islamabad collaboration, reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to regional peace and stability, and stressed the importance of enhancing strategic ties between the two nations.

 

The discussions also covered the latest regional security situation and geopolitical developments, with both sides agreeing to continue regular dialogues and reinforce security cooperation.
